Day 1 - The Cleanse

Today is day 1 of the Master Cleanse. It has been pretty good. I have been pretty excited to begin the cleanse for about 3 weeks now. It all started when I realized that my husband thinks I complain about my tummy being upset way too often. After that realization I came to agree with him that I do complain about it a lot. And then I decided that my tummy does get upset waaaaay too much. And then when I got my head cold I realized I really needed to do something to make me more healthy. I started researching colon cleaning products. After a ton and ton of web pages that tell you they have the best colon cleaning pill, I realized that most of them were made with similar natural products. So I then googled colon cleansing recipes. I came across some diets and lifestyle changing books. I also came across the master cleanse. It is a 10 day liquid diet consisting of lemonade.

I had my first serving of the lemonade at about 8:45 am. It was way spicier then I was expecting. (I am planning on going a little easier on the cayenne pepper tomorrow.) It made my entire body warm. I went about my day as normal. I went to work and had a couple more servings there. I've has lots and lots of water to help keep me hydrated. Around 2 pm ish I started to really want a sandwich (still do). I started to get hungry and cranky. By 2:30 I had a headache (from hunger and co-workers) and decided to head home. I took a little nap and when I woke up I was doing okay. I had my 4th serving around 5pm. By then I just really wanted to eat (still do). I've really had to focus and keep my mind occupied. I got my 5th and 6th servings in by 7pm (required to drink at least 6 to 12 servings per day).

I am not feeling weak. Just hungry. And even the hunger just comes in waves. It's really strong right now since I've been writing about it. From everything I've read days 1-3 are the toughest. Just a couple more hours and day 1 will be completed.

sounds very interesting! how many days before you can eat???? Did I tell you about the book that Andrea and Leah use? It's the blood type diet book. When they eat by it's standards they feel so much better. I think you probably have food allergies. You should e-mail Andrea for the name of it.
